Adar Gandelsman (Hebrew Adr gndlsmn) is an Israeli beauty pageant titleholder and model. She was Miss Israel 2017's first runnerup. She was named Miss Universe Israel 2017 and was part of the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. Adar was a competitor at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. She did not finish in the top ten. Gandelsman and Miss Universe Iraq Sarah Idan snapped a picture together during the pageant. Idan along with her entire family left Iraq in December 2017 after they were outraged by Iraqi citizens over her photo of Miss Israel. Miss Israel is born in Ashkelon in Israel and was born to Ashkenazi Jewish parents, who moved to Israel in 1992 from Brazil. [1][22 Adar (her initial name) is Hebrew for Hebrew calendar month.
